Es ist eine Erfolgsgeschichte wie aus dem Bilderbuch und doch ein reines Herzensprojekt. Innerhalb von nur 3 Jahren hat Little Home Köln es möglich gemacht, was die meisten Kritiker für unmöglich erachteten: 109 Obdachlose besitzen inzwischen ein eigenes Dach über dem Kopf, 41 von ihnen einen Job und 48 haben sogar einen festen Wohnraum. Wie alles begann: Ende 2016 sah der Kölner Fotograf Sven Lüdecke einen TV-Beitrag in der Sendung „Galileo“. Darin wurde die Geschichte des kalifornischen Innenarchitekten Gregory Kloehn erzählt, der mit einer Kunstaktion ein Zeichen gegen Armut und Obdachlosigkeit setzen wollte. Sein Projekt: einzig aus Materialien, die er auf dem Sperrmüll sammelt, baut er kleine Wohnboxen für Menschen, die auf der Straße leben und schlafen. Das Ergebnis sind kunstvolle kleine Holzhäuser, die Obdachlosen einen Schlafplatz und ein Dach über dem Kopf bieten. Einen abschließbaren Ort, an dem sie sich und ihre wenigen Habseligkeiten trocken unterbringen und im Idealfall ein Stück weit zur Ruhe finden können. „Warum sollte dies nicht auch in Deutschland möglich sein?“, fragte sich Lüdecke. Schnell stand sein Entschluss fest: Er krempelte seine Ärmel hoch, finanzierte, baute und verschenkte zwei kleine Holzhäuser, sogenannte Wohnboxen, an Obdachlose. Im Inneren des Hauses: lediglich eine Matratze und ein Regal. Er taufte die Häuser Little Homes. Und die Geschichte nahm ihren Lauf. Das Projekt sorgte schnell weit über die Stadtgrenzen Kölns hinaus für Furore. Medien aus aller Welt entdeckten das Thema für ihre Leser und Zuschauer. Nachrichtensendungen von VOX, RTL, dem WDR bis zum chinesischen Staatsfernsehen berichteten über das Projekt. Journalisten von BILD über Welt bis zum Spiegel zeigten sich begeistert. Bis heute finden sich viele Mitstreiter – darunter auch Obdachlose –, die Sven Lüdecke mit Sachspenden und vor allem Mithilfe bei Bau und Transport der Häuser tatkräftig unterstützen. Bereits nach 100 Tagen wurde aus der spontanen Idee heraus ein eingetragener Verein, der Little Home Köln e.V.. Neben Köln ist Litte Home mittlerweile auch in Berlin, Bonn, Frankfurt M., Hamm, Nürnberg, Hamburg Hannover und Darmstadt vertreten. Eine Expansion in weitere Städte ist geplant. Auch die Wohnboxen selbst haben sich seit der Anfangszeit verändert. Im Inneren jedes Hauses befinden sich heute neben einer Matratze und einem Regal auch ein Erste-Hilfe-Set, ein Feuerlöscher, eine Campingtoilette, ein Waschbecken sowie eine kleine Arbeitsfläche mit der Möglichkeit zu kochen. Eine Sichtprüfung durch den TÜV Rheinland ist vereinbart. Mit den Little Homes sollen Obdachlose einen Rückzugsort bekommen, an dessen Gestaltung sie selbst mitwirken dürfen und sollen. Angefertigt werden die Wohnboxen daher zusammen mit den Wohnungslosen sowie freiwilligen Helfern. So entsteht eine Brücke in die Gesellschaft, das Miteinander und nicht zuletzt die Identifikation des Bewohners mit seinem neuen Heim werden gefördert. Umso erfreulicher, dass sich viele starke Partner gefunden haben, die den Idealismus von Little Home teilen, ihn aktiv mittragen und unterstützen: Little Home Köln konnte beispielsweise die Caritas als langfristigen Vertragspartner gewinnen. Auch große, namhafte Unternehmen zeigen sich rührig und nutzen das Hausbau-Projekt für Teambuilding-Workshops. Selbst verschiedene Schulklassen legen im Rahmen von Schulprojekten Hand an, bauen in der Gemeinschaft Wohnboxen und übernehmen ideelle „Patenschaften“ für die Begleitung ehemaliger Obdachloser. Spektakulär: Monetäre Spenden fließen dem Projekt vor allem regelmäßig von privater Seite zu. Mit der Erfahrung, die Little Home innerhalb der ersten zwei Jahre sammeln konnte, ist heute klarer denn je: Die Wohnboxen bewirken etwas in den Menschen! Sie sind zwar nur ein erster, aber dennoch zentraler Schritt auf dem Weg zurück in die Gesellschaft. Vielleicht eine Art Probephase, eine kleine Oase auf dem Weg zur weiteren Resozialisierung. Denn auch das hat Little Home gezeigt: Die kleinen Häuser sind nur das Pflaster auf der Wunde. Der Rückweg ins System ist für die Bewohner – so sie dies anstreben – mühsam, teils sehr beschwerlich und mit vielen inneren und äußeren Widerständen verbunden. Und er braucht die Begleitung durch Menschen, die mit viel Geduld, Empathie und sozialem Engagement helfen, Steine aus dem Weg zu räumen, Altlasten aufzulösen und Hintern anzuschieben. Menschen, die letztlich auch die Bereitschaft mitbringen, eine Zeit lang das Sprungtuch halten, wenn fehlende Kraft und Motivation der Wohnungslosen vorerst keine weitere Veränderung zulassen. All dies ist inzwischen Alltag in der Arbeit von Little Home. Für uns von Little Home Köln gibt es keinen Weg zurück. Mit heute stolzen 117 Holzhäusern, 43 Menschen in Arbeit und sagenhaften 49 in festem Wohnraum, sind wir sicherer denn je: Little Homes können neue Identitäten stiften. Sie können Lebenslinien und -wege positiv verändern und Perspektiven schaffen. Denn oft sind es nur Nuancen und Schattierungen, die hopp von topp unterscheiden. Bei jedem von uns. Wir sind überzeugt: Gemeinsam sind wir stark.
